Punjab, Sewa Kendra
Punjab News. The working hours of the Sewa Kendra located on Raikot Road in Malerkotla have been increased. Now this center will remain open every day from 8 am to 8 pm. These new timings have come into effect from July 11. This decision has been taken keeping in mind the convenience of the people of the area. Assistant Commissioner (General) Gurmeet Kumar Bansal said that this decision has been taken considering the opinions of the people and their daily work. Many people cannot come to the service centers during the day due to work. Now they will be able to come in the evening also and complete their work.
According to the officials, the number of citizens visiting the service centers was continuously increasing. Due to this, it became necessary to increase the working hours. Now these centers will work directly for the convenience of the people. This will make government services faster and more convenient.
The Assistant Commissioner said that the government is trying to ensure that people get essential services near their homes. Now people will not have to go to offices. This facility is especially useful for those who are not free during the day. Many works like Aadhar card, birth and death certificate, caste and wealth certificate, residence and marriage certificate are done through the service centers. Apart from these, Ayushman card and other government schemes are also available there. Now people will be able to get their work done in a short time.
Increasing the hours will require more staff at the service centers. These locations will open doors of employment for new youth. Also, people coming to avail the service will get additional convenience and get rid of lines. This initiative of the government is giving birth to a new way of thinking about government work in Malerkotla. These centers are now not just offices, but are becoming real centers of public service. As this model becomes successful, it can be adopted in other districts as well.
